Feb. 27, 2007. 8:20 AM. First stop of our Fieldtrip ws Convergys. Convergys is a call center corporation and one of the Call Center in Cebu City. They started their operation last Aug. 28, 2003. They currently have 8 centers and more than 10,000 employees serving the US market. Their centers inclucdes the DBCom Tower in Makati, Convergys One Makati, Robinsons Equitable, Northgate Cyberzone, Diliman Commercial and the currently the Convergys Banawa Cebu.

Upon arrival we were divided into 2 batches, batch A went ahead, while batch B painstakingly waited at the bus. We were received by Mr. Jim Carbonilla, our host, whose voice and accent can be mistaken as a natural american. He discussed a few important things, and went ahead with the Q&A. At first it was quite and everybody was shy to ask their questions, But there were some gutsy souls who did, and thanx to them for saving us all.

It was our first time to encounter and actually see what we might be after we graduate. A yuppy, single, handsome guy or gorgeous girl with a salary to sustain our fancies. And for the first time, we actually realize how important it is to really speak the english language as if its our own.
